Although he’s quite big for years on the continent, Eamonn McCormack’s days of being somewhat of a dark horse at home in Ireland and in the UK are numbered. With the success of his latest album ‘Storyteller’, his seventh!, reaching No.1 on blues charts all over Europe, now pushing him up into International Blues Rock royalty! It is due to US release on 21 May 2021.
His Bona Fides are well in order too. He has played, toured and recorded with many of his childhood Idols such as ZZ Top, Rory Gallagher, Johnny Winter, Nils Lofgren, Jan Akkerman, Pat Travers, George Thorogood, Walter Trout and more.
Before the end of the first song on his album ‘Storyteller’ it’s apparent that this is no ordinary guitar player fresh from the University of YouTube lessons; this is as real as it gets, performed from someone who has lived it!
This past April US slide guitar Queen, Joanna Connor reached #1 on the American Billboard Blues Charts with her latest album ‘4801 South Indiana Avenue’ produced by the legendary Joe Bonamassa. The success of the album caught the attention of Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash who posted about Joanna on his Instagram.
Joanna is in a class of her own when it comes to firery Blues-rock slide guitar playing. In Chicago she is a big name for years but that’s changing fast too as her latest album is gaining her much wider exposure abroad.
The idea of putting these two up and coming blues-rock stars together on a co-headline tour, all came out of a funny message between the two where Joanna told Eamonn her great Grandfather was from Donegal in Ireland.
