Sass Brown is a phenomenon. Anyone who has seen her perform live will know exactly what this means. She does not confine herself to the stage, but will join the audience in person, radio mic in hand, and ensure that every person in the room is joining in and having fun. Audience participation is not encouraged , it is mandated!
A midwife by trade , she suggested to the band at a Christmas bash that she had always fancied a go at singing. The band, who were a party covers band that dated back to University times at Birmingham Medical School suggested she attended a rehearsal. This she did, bottom jaws were dropped, and the rest is history.
Sass works the length of breadth of the country singing her tribute to Tina Turner, but only on limited occasions can she pull together the complete 9 piece band incorporating brass section and backing vocalist, given everyone’s professional and family commitments. The joy of performing together will be written across all the band members faces when they can partake of this communal therapy.
The band has performed as headline act to a festival of capacity 4000, at Highbury Hall, at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Radisson Hotel, at Burton’s Town Hall , Football stadium, Rugby Club and breweries, as well as elsewhere in the Midlands.
Tickets for this show are non-refundable. In the event of a cancellation, ticket holders will be contacted.
